Gone Home - Completed

I'm not sure how to rate this game because I think the way it tells a story is really good, however, I don't think it's £15 good.
There's about 3 hours of gameplay, maybe less, and literally 0 replay value to the game. It's very hard to miss notes because you pretty much have to get them all to complete the game.

The story is good, but once again, the game is so short its frustrating. If the game had some sort of expansion pack or something like that, then I think the game MIGHT get it's value out of it.

If this was £3,99 or even a free game, then the score would be a different story. But the fact that the game is so short, and so pricey, I cannot give this game a recommendation.

Go Home Dinosaurs! - Completed

Go Home Dinosaurs! is the most unique Tower Defense game I've ever played.

You play as gophers, protecting your barbecue from dinosaurs. Your towers are shaped like Tetris shapes and your strategy doesn't just rely on putting out as many towers as possible.

Your strategy has to revolve around placing your towers where they will fit, where they can do the most damage and where it won't block you from attacking the dinosaurs yourself.

If you're a fan of tower defense, gophers, steak or dinosaurs, do not pass this game up.

Glowfish - Completed

I had a lot of fun playing this game, after my play through of Aquria the other day I was already quite "sea'ed" out, and was not looking forward to another underwater game, but the innocent nature of the game, not trying to be anything more than it is charmed me no end.

I found myself swimming around with my new underwater buddies finding hidden caves and crannies without even realizing how much of the game I had still to come.

A very relaxing experience overall.

Gish - Completed

Interesting, original, quite fun at times but I'm not 100% sure it actually works, The idea of being able to change what the tar is made of and thus how it reacts with its surroundings is great but it doesn't feel dynamic and quick enough so there doesn't ever feel like a "wow" moment.

Also, every single achievement in this game is bugged, no idea how anyone has actually managed to hit any of the achievements.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams - Rise of the Owlverlord - Completed

Fans of the original Giana Sisters will find more of what they loved from the first game, and newcomers can ease into the series with the relaxed difficulty setting. The Giana Sisters continues to be one of this generation’s best platforming experiences.

Unfortunately, I believe that few people knows about this amazing game. Graphics, history, incredible gameplay. I think for the games of the same category, this would be in the top 10 in my opinion.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams - Completed

A new star is born in the platformer genre with great gameplay, visuals and level design. The controls are great with a game pad.  The soundtrack is awesome, it's been a while I haven't seen a platformer of this quality on PC, and the price is very low.

More you progress in the game better and longer the levels are. The game has nothing to do anymore with the original Mario clone I played when I was young on Amiga, it's fresh and innovative.

FTL: Faster Than Light - Completed

When I first booted this game up, I didn't get what all the fuss was about. It's low tech, with very simple graphics. But after I played a while, upgraded my ship, found new crew members, and journeyed deeper into the galaxy, I got it.

Different weapons work against different shield types. You can upgrade your ship with drones which can ward off missiles or attack an enemy ship. This is all presented in a simple manner, but the gameplay is very addicting. The game is perma-death, which keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Ghost Master - Completed

An amazing game. Great idea, very nice atmosphere, also contains a lot of references and parodies.

It starts so simple, yet grows harder later, the tasks also range from simple scare-them-all-away at the beginning to rather complex as the player advances in the game.

Too bad that there are no plans to make a sequel as far as I know, it could use modern graphics and more missions

Gateways - Completed

Gateways is imaginative, no doubt. But to become a '2D-Portal' it needs more challenge and more diversity. There's barely a single idea here that hasn't been borrowed from elsewhere, and usually done better

But as an experiment in aperture science, it might need a little more time in the test chamber.

Garshasp: The Temple of the Dragon - Completed

Before you make this purchase allow me to give you both positives and negatives on this game. Lets start with the positive, The Graphics in the game is not bad, and work well with the game. The Story is OK. Wow we get to the game killing aspects of the game for me.
The controls are mediocre at best, what makes this worse is that the game changes the camera angle in some instances making it worse, this is compounded since you cant change the angle (as far as i could tell).

The game is also miles shorter than the previous title. This one only took me about 4 hours to finish.

Again, only buy this game if you are looking for a cheap buck of an experience.

Garshasp: The Monster Slayer - Completed

Garshasp the monster slayer feels extremely dated and does not deliver what you come to expect from a fighting/adventure game. The visuals are outdated, the camera get annoying, the fighting feels shallow and unresponsive and the games has some bugs.

Overall the game feels outdated and though it could have been good a couple of years ago it just doesn't feel up to today's standards. I would only recommend this title to those who really love the genre and are looking for something new to try out for a cheap buck.

Gnomoria - 10 Hours+ Played

There is almost something zen-like about watching a perfectly tuned society moving exactly as you have planned. The complexity and depth to this game is amazing and I would suggest this to anyone who has ever enjoyed Sim-City like games.

Plenty of replay ability, strategy, tactics and micro-management. There is an extremely high learning curve. Graphics are almost a little too retro for my liking, but still a very decent game for soaking up plenty of time.
